Modernised apartment within large farmhouse in the hamlet of Le Noirmont on the Franco/Swiss border, 3 kms from the charming village of Les Rousses. The capital of Nordic skiing, but with all year round leisure activities, this area caters well for families and couples wishing to explore this undiscovered part of France. |
Local amenities include a famous old army Fort which also has an
excellent outdoor activity centre in summer, and hosts guided tours of
the local cheese making industry and its history. There are two 18 hole
golf courses, archery and endless walking and cycling opportunities. The
nearby lake offers swimming, fishing and boating during summer, replaced
in the winter by ice-skating, ice yachts and paraboarding. Many kms of
Nordic skiing trails through the forests, limited down-hill skiing with
ski-bus linking several local ski stations, also snow racquets and
toboggans. All equipment can be hired locally, and offers the
opportunity to discover the delights of this winter wonderland with
hidden mountain refuges and bars off the beaten track! You may even meet
a team of husky dogs practicing their sledging.
From the apartment you have easy access to Switzerland and the Burgundy
wine regions.
Les Rousses village is within 10 rains by car from the apartment, and
has numerous restaurants, bars, supermarket and lovely interesting shops
with a market on Friday mornings.

onto open plan lounge/diner with well equipped galley kitchen,
small corner bar, and comfortable seating in lounge area in
front of small wood-burning stove. T.V. and DVD. Also on this

This apartment is still enjoyed by our family and friends after 25 yrs, in winter and summer, giving memories of clear, starry skies, lovely alpine flowers, ringing of cow bells, Swiss chocolate, and many fondue suppers. |

The apartment is situated one hour’s drive from Geneva Airport and 8 hrs
drive from north coast ferry ports and channel tunnel.
